Manifestations on a dream DAY 1 & 2 . Gardener Daphne Chan

This is the start to growing a great dream.
I was toying with some clip art and realised that the simplicity of each element has a great potential when its used correctly. I call this visual stimulation. Something for the creative feed. (This was yesterday when I played around.)

(Look what is has grown into today!)

More badges

More badges are available but sadly www.prickie.com doesn't allow the artist to update and upload new badges anymore. Prickie is selling their site, what a pity I must say. I thought they are doing a great job of allowing artists to showcase their designs. If you are interested in the new batch of badges, drop us a mail and we will see how we can work it out, you can still purchase the first batch from www.prickie.com

What utopia can technology bring?

This film was done long long time ago, back in 2005, where we wanted to explore something different (away from print).
Thus, we put together a series of photos, creating 3 series of stop motion film.
This work has won us 3 Red Dot awards for Design concept and we are really really proud of them!

“What utopia can technology bring?” is a fairy tale about human’s search for perfection and identity.

The story is about the journey taken by three hideous puppets, who are stricken by poverty & diseases.
Plague by the costs of war and the perils of nuclear power, they are determined to set themselves free from the sufferings which they have endured for years. The film has a dark meaning to mankind’s need to harmonized with nature.
It represents technology in its contradictions – the path of self-destruction, or the path to freedom.
It also explores technology, as a symbol of temptation, which stirs the human desire to possess wholeness, beauty, power and perfection.

Business talks:
We intend to replicate the puppets and sell them in future to come.
The prices are not decided for now, but we are pleased to entertain enquiries on reservations.

Project 1: Remember mother nature as she "was"

The creation of these fashion accessories commemorates the present.

The greeneries of mother nature might no longer exist in the future because of global warming.
The designs takes its shape in place of a leaf, considering that plants are the basic element which most living creature relies on for survival and shelter. Without it, the world is nothing.
The design function is to act as "shelter" from the sun.
Upon wearing and using these designs, the aim is to remind people
of the importance of nature that we should preserve.

Materials used: Fancy paper, and black ribbon/lace.
Pricing: $150 (postage not inclusive).
*please note that the lace used may vary, a confirmation will be sent to you before we proceed.
